A Summer Time of Hope
Summer's always have sad, unsettling days. They start out great then a dark cloud appears dimming the sunshine. The summer days fade into weeks and then months. For Some that's how summer ends, for some that's how summer starts. It started that way for me because I had to say goodbye to my home again, I had to say goodbye to my friends and I had to face the reality that I might not make new ones. A switch flipped and I was sad for a few weeks. Then it donned on me that yes I had to say goodbye but I had gotten the chance to say hello to that home and i will get to say hello to this one too. Once that hit me I had the a great summer.
I went to the country I had fantasized seeing my entire life. I saw the beautiful, green rolling hills, I saw the dark remains of lava, I saw colorful birds swimming on the water and I saw gorgeous waterfalls at every turn. After five days I said good bye to that dream and moved on to see my family. I traveled to Saipan and spent two weeks wandering and roaming the beautiful tropical island and it was more fun that I dreamed.
