The House on the Mango Street

The book is about a young child who moves to a house on the mango street. The girl's family is very poor, and before this house, they were living in a rented house. This book does not have a climax or problem, it is a collaboration of different short stories that all come from the girls lifetime. Esperanza grows throughout the book, and it ends when she has already move out the house and is reflecting back to her memories. It was a fun book to read, because of the tranquility and the quietness the book has. This was the best book I have read from the books I have read throughout the semester because of the different writing style.
